As part of my summer internship with Redbird Creative, I came up with the project of highlighting international student athletes that decided, like me, to cross the pond and move to the United States. Most of them do it to be able to combine their education with their athletic career, but they all have their own stories.
Nora Janka is a junior on the volleyball team at Illinois State University. As a Redbird, she is a two-time Missouri Valley Conference champion and competed at two NCAA Tournament. An Austrian native, she made the decision to bet on herself and move to Normal, IL to play volleyball and get her college degree.
