Behind the words
If you call me Caro, you are either American or you are close to me. When I hear Caroline I am usually in trouble with my parents or trying to get my visa renewed at the embassy. Most of the time it is the first option sadly.

My expat life
For about 3 years now, I have lived in the state of Illinois where I go to college. Coming from a country like France, everyone always wonders why I chose to come to Bloomington-Normal in central Illinois. Well sometimes I am not so sure but I definitely wanted to go to the US and experience the American way of life. I think cultural shock is the best way to describe what I have been experiencing ever since. Am I living the American Dream though?
